General accuracy

Tools for Video Editors provides estimates and transformations for informational and convenience purposes. Outputs can be incomplete, rounded, or wrong. Important results require independent verification. The service is provided as-is and as-available without warranties of accuracy, completeness, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Bitrate and storage

File-size estimates assume the entered average bitrates remain constant. Variable bitrate, container overhead, metadata, multiple streams, and encoder behavior can change the finished size. Leave headroom for hard upload or storage limits.

Timecode, frames, and conforming

Confirm the project timebase, drop-frame status, start timecode, rounding convention, and variable-frame-rate behavior. Conforming changes playback duration and can affect audio pitch or sync. Do not use these results alone for legal, broadcast, live, or safety-critical timing.

Framing and resolution

Geometry assumes square pixels and centered fit or crop. Anamorphic pixels, clean aperture, rotation metadata, overscan, safe areas, codec alignment, and subject-aware repositioning may require different decisions.

Metadata and files

The metadata inspector only reports information exposed by the current browser and estimates average whole-file data rate. It is not a forensic or compliance probe and may reject otherwise valid media. Keep originals and use dedicated inspection software for delivery verification.

Captions and chapters

SRT validation checks a limited structure and timing model, not language accuracy, reading speed, accessibility quality, platform acceptance, or picture sync. The chapter formatter does not verify content against video. Review outputs against final picture and current platform requirements.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, liability for losses arising from use of or reliance on these tools is limited as described in the Terms of Use. Non-excludable rights and liabilities remain unaffected.
