What this result means
Calculate inclusive image-sequence frame counts, duration, handle ranges, and detect missing frames from a pasted frame list. Results are intended for planning and convenience; confirm critical values in your editing, encoding, or delivery system.
Useful for
- Checking EXR or DPX delivery counts
- Calculating VFX handles
- Finding missing numbered frames before import
Assumptions
- Both endpoints are included in the frame count.
- Handles extend before and after the entered range.
- A pasted range such as 1001-1010 is expanded inclusively.
Limits & checks
- Filenames, padding, duplicate files, and filesystem contents are not inspected.
- Negative frame numbers in the observed-list range syntax are not supported.
- Playback duration assumes a constant frame rate.
FAQ
Before the final export
Why is 1001 through 1100 equal to 100 frames?
Inclusive counting is last minus first plus one.
Are handles included in duration?
The result shows both the core and handled ranges so you can compare them.
How do I check missing frames?
Paste comma- or space-separated numbers and ranges; the tool compares them with the expected handled range.
